Following his victory in the defamation trial against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is preparing for his next movie and he has a new look.

The actor will play King Louis XV in a historical drama directed by French director Maiwenn and he was recently in Paris for a costume fitting.

While making his way to the airport in Paris after the costume fitting, Depp was snapped by photographers, who caught him in a new braided hairstyle, that is presumably for his new role.

He was also carrying a mocha briefcase and wore dark aviator glasses, stopping briefly to wave to some fans who had gathered by his car, with Love Paris sharing the images.

Johnny Depp is getting his career back on track

As well as this new movie, Depp is also looking for other new projects now that his reputation has been restored.

He claimed during his trial that Heard's allegations that Depp was a domestic abuser cost him millions in lost Hollywood opportunities.

There was later talk of him reprising his role as Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean', although that has now been shut down.

A spokesperson told Fox News that he is not in talks with Disney, while Depp himself suggested he wouldn't want to work with Disney again as he answered questions during the trial.

"If Disney came to you with 300 million dollars, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film, correct?" he was asked in the courtroom.

"That is true," Depp replied, later adding he felt betrayed by Disney.
